Equality for Flatbush is hiring a part-time (20-30 hours a week), experienced organizer for our anti-displacement/police accountability campaigns with the option for full-time starting in 2019.

Qualifications Required:
You are a Freedom Fighter
Your politics are RADICALLY progressive which means you understand how the oppression of LGBTQ people and migrant communities directly impacts the struggle against police violence
You have had at least 5 years of organizing experience either locally, nationally or globally. Specific experience as a tenant, migrant rights, and/or anti-police brutality organizer A+. Experience organizing direct action campaigns A++
You love New York City & have an intimate knowledge of Brooklyn neighborhoods
You are relentless in your approach to organizing because you believe that we can & will win
You are proficient with Google Drive, Google Groups, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Tumblr
You have super-natural superpowers around one or more of the following areas: social media outreach, street/community outreach crowdsourcing fundraising, individual donor fundraising, event planning, graphic design, videography, banner making, writing/editing and/or as a political strategist/ tactician
You have a sense of humor. A life-long desire to become a stand-up comedian A+++
Highly Desired Qualifications but not Mandatory
You are a Multilingual speaker in one or more of the following languages: Haitian Kreyol (preferred), Spanish, Mandarin or Bangla
You have access to a car
You know wealthy people who are concerned about gentrification, racism, police violence, Trump, etc who want to give money to worthy causes
Life-long/long-term New York residents, people with personal experiences with houselessness and/or police/state violence, people of color, people from migrant communities of color, LGBTQ/ QTPOC people, are all strongly encouraged to apply.
